The Joy Of Timekeeping
Wednesday, I get a call from the BBC World Service, saying would I like to take part in World Business Review - a discussion programme - about the whole Google/YouTube malarkey. WBR is a good 'un, because you get around quarter of an hour on air instead of the usual two minutes. It's also scary, since they tend to have People Who Know on - my fellow panelists will include a prof from Harvard Business School and some blokey from Forrester. I'll have to do my homework.
So I said yes.That meant being at Bush House for a 2pm recording - on a Friday.
Fridays are my diary days, when I try and distill the week into a couple of thousand words, which always means an afternoon of uninterruptable panic. Never mind, I thought, I'll get up early (yes, stop laughing at the back there) and get the back of the beast broken by lunchtime.
Thursday: our esteemed Editorial Site Head Editor-In-Chief-Director-Honcho-Don't-Mind-Me-I'm-In-A-Meeting Matt "Yes, Another Meeting" Loney (in a meeting) declareth: "Editorial Offsite. Friday. Nine till one."
Ack. Pth. Pth. Ack.
Which means writing the darn thing on Thursday night. IE, now. I'm just glad I haven't got some new blog to test to distract me further.
