Rupert Goodwins' Diary

...and even more so today, with Nokia announcing deals to put top-quality games on its mobiles. None of your Snake nonsense here -- yeah, I know, Snake's cool but I was playing Qix on a Vax twenty years ago -- these are yer actual sports simulations. Now, sports simulations have as much appeal for me as rolling naked down a cow pasture, but I understand they're very popular.

I simply refuse to believe that portable networked games will be anything but huge, and I can't quite understand why there's not more of a buzz about them. Still, I've always been prone to premature exultation -- calm down, Goodwins. Soon come.
