Munich's Linux migration 'on track'

Posted by Graeme Wearden

Munich's much-scrutinised migration to Linux is going well, according to the city's mayor. Christine Strobel told Heise Online that eighty percent of desktops will have moved from Windows to Linux by 2008. Strobel (who admits she's not a geek) also said she found the LiMux client easy to use, and Heise reports that other senior politicians are also impressed.

The migration is also on track to come in on budget, at 35 million Euros.
