Dell: One gig good, two gig better
At least according to Dell chief executive, Kevin Rollins, who told delegates at a conference in Shanghai on Friday: "I think they tell you maybe 1 gig [gigabyte] of memory is okay. No. Two gigs of memory would be great." More over at iTnews in Australia.

At the same time as memory prices have almost doubled, because people like Dell have been buying everything in sight ready for Vista.
Odd, that.

In my opinion, I personally think 1 gig is enough for me... for now. So for the "average personal computer [user]", it should be plenty. Only creative types [such as design, editing video, etc] or gamers need more.
My Mac has 4 gigs!
Cop that you PC losers! :P
This seems in-line with the demands of VISTA, 64-bit at-least. VISTA is going to be one hell of a resource beast when its released.
