Wibro problems?

Posted by David Meyer

The BBC's Click team has done a rundown on the exciting new mobile broadband technologies springing up in South Korea (although we do have HSDPA here too, y'know folks). One interesting point, on the subject of South Korea's homegrown flavour of WiMax:

Technical gremlins mean the connection keeps dropping when users move between Wibro base stations...

As this is a very similar tech to mobile WiMax - something that we could be seeing as early as next year - lets hope such problems are ironed out by the time it hits the UK.
