FM transmitters go legal

Well, we knew this already but the update is that your iTrip or whatever will be genuinely legit as of December 8. As promised.

Just as the Americans have discovered that manufacturers of the transmitters have been illegally boosting the power to the point at which serious problems are occuring.

That's all a little theoretical in London, though, where the pirates are wall to wall and treetop tall (as we used to say on CB). Forget about the interference caused by the next door neighbour's tweaked iTrip; it's the Big Bwa Bass FM TX on the towerblock down the road that's making the Archers throb...
