Rumours of a Intel/AMD competitor
It seems in response to this Nvidia may be entering the Processor market. It is still just rumour but they have recently taken on new staff that have in the past specialised in CPU design which sniffs of an Nvidia chip at some future date.
Whether this poses a threat to Intel or AMD remains to be seen.

The investment would have to be Huge i dont think we will see a full scale attack on there market share but maybe a little dabble might produce some interesting results especially for gamers.
I thought that when Nvidia brought out it's own motherboard chipset. I never thought it would compete with the likes of VIA but it seems to be here to stay.
Admittedly the processor market is a bit more cut-throat but if it did succeed we could see the beginings of an Nvidia monopoly supplying Processor, graphics and Motherboard combined with games/software sponsorship you could soon be running an all Nvidia system.
They certainly would end up with a big advantage i will be watching with interest.
