Learning to spell
Here at ZD Towers we're used to getting all manner of cocktails of various 'solutions' that the world's IT suppliers think we should write about.
But the PR folks at Thus, the telco, were probably a bit too quick off the mark last week when they told us about their new 'sweet' of security services.
Firewalls may be the most useful think on the planet when you're trying to protect your network, but they don't leave a great taste on the tongue.
Maybe journalists are just a bit bitchy, or could it be *sour* grapes, but I'm sure Thus knows the alternative word to portfolio is indeed 'suite'.
That's our one and only use of the vendor-ese word 'solution' for this year, by the way. It doesn't solve anything unless it works.
