Irrelevant pointless mutterings from modafo....
target="blank" = bad, very bad. Please do not use this.
Irrelevant blurb, not necessarily tech related... I mean, it's not as if i live and breath technology day in day out, 24 7.... I am, after all, just the bottom clog in the corporate mega wheel.
In fact, i doubt this so-called blog will even be:
1. interesting
2. funny and
3. frequently updated.
But thanks for reading nonetheless!

A List Apart - How to Grok Web Standards
Recently, they have a new article entitled "How To Grok Web Standards", which is well worth a read for sure - even if you don't hand-code on a day to day basis.
I know from my own experience that designing a site with CSS in mind can influence and affect design decisions, and the more you use CSS and experiment with it, the more intuitive and natural it becomes - as mentioned in the article, you will begin to intuitively know what style to use and go for, and so on.
Also, when it comes to HTML, things like the semantic structure of the markup is not something that can be (or is even?) greatly appreciated by those outside the front-end realm of coding - it definitely doesn't get the respect it deserves. For many people (in general), it doesn't/wouldn't matter to them if a certain heading text was marked up in a h1, h4, p or div tag - as long as it looked fine visually on the web browser. And i think that's one of the reasons why Web Standards is so greatly under-valued and unappreciated by many (apart from those who adhere to it).
That is the real shame.
