Cable & Wireless gets ever smaller

Posted by RichardThurston

As if axeing half its staff and 90 percent of its customers was not enough, now Cable & Wireless is shedding its capabilities as well. Out of the door this week has gone Allnet, its systems integration division. Computacenter are the fortunate recipients of the business, which has gone deeper into providing cabling services and technical building solutions of late. Computacenter argues that its relationship with customers - most of whom are corporate and governmental organisations - will remain unchanged by the change in ownership. One change in branding though - the business will now become known as 'Allnet by Computacenter'.
