A Search Oddity

Posted by Rupert Goodwins

Search for Firefox from www.msn.com (or Live Search)
Now, search for Firefox in www.google.com

The top result (non-paid) in Google is what you want - the place to get Firefox.

All of the results in www.msn.com are fake sites - places designed to snag the unwary in their search for their 'Fox fix and place them in Garish Adland (or worse).

Hm.

On a happier note, the MS TechNet newsletter today signed off on the following, after a long and worthy list of important MS technical stuff.

After all that, here is a little bit of light reading. We have recently done an analysis of the IT Professional job titles on our database and these were some of the more obscure entries!!!

- Infrastructure Dude
- Chief Snoggable Officer
- Big Chief Computer Dude

Happy reading!

There is simply no point in searching the web on MSN - it's useless.
