According to our colleagues at News.com, the two will share a stage togther for a 75 minute joint interview at the D: All Things Digital event in California on Weds 30th May.

Wow that is big news in tech. It sounds like all of the ingredients are there for the MTV Celebrity Death Match “Billionaire Brawl.” I’m sure they will both be civil, but I’m hoping to hear a few jabs.

But in the end it was a predictable all-American love-in.

It reminded me of a recent salesforce.com conference for UK customers and partners in London when the CEO, Marc Benioff, paraded a collection of executives from hi-tech firms on stage. Every one of them could not have been more effusive in praise for each other and each other's companies. Absolutely everything came in for mutual congratulation - the potential for their products, the financial prowess of their companies, even their clothes and their eloquence. All was worthy of note, but in my opinion, nothing was noteworthy.
