Breaking News: Free laptop give-away

Mobile phone retailer The Carphone Warehouse is giving away 200 laptops across the UK tomorrow to promote its broadband service.

The decision by Carphone Warehouse to give away a laptop as an incentive to sign-up to its broadband services surprised a lot of people but the mobile retailer has gone a step further and decided to give away 200 laptops as part of nationwide competition.

If any ZDNet.co.uk readers are lucky enough to snag one of the machines - let us know. We'd be quite interested to hear exactly what the mysterious registration process involves - as these broadband providers have had a questionable definition of the word free up to now.
