Skype worm wriggles onto Windows machines

Posted by Tom Espiner

Skype is reporting a worm that affects Skype chat users with windows machines.

Once it has infected one person's machine, the worm, called “w32/Ramex.A”, sends a chat message to other Skype users asking them to click on a web link. Clicking through can infect that user's computer.

More information can be found on the Skype Heartbeat blog.
