The Global Village is one step closer...
With the announcement of BT and FONs collaboration today I must admit to a slight smile crossing my face...
We work in an industry which, despite the advances in technology, is crippled by peoples lack of faith in the security protocols and procedures inherent in that technology.
For BT to start this partnership is a bold step, for FON to achieve agreement with BT is a master stroke!!
I have recently signed up with BT, using a HomeHub in my second residence, and will be signing up for the FON agreement. I already have unlimited Openzone minutes with BT Broadband Option 3, but there aren't Openzone points everywhere I roam, I hope that many users will follow suit, and I may one day be able to surf freelly without grimacing at the costs imposed by my mobile provider... why use 3G when I can use Wi-Fi?
