ITN Apple fracas - UPDATE
I now have better info on the ITN/Apple debacle at the iPhone launch - and it really is better.
Wasn't because of tariff issues, oh no. Seems the bold investigative reporters decided to ask some of the assembled punters about all this unlocking business. Apple's PR's decided that such matters weren't for public consumption, ITN disagreed and... were shown the door.
And here's the video. Also expect it on various UK news reports this evening...

What an own goal on the part of Apple.
If they invite the press in, they should not be surprised when they don't always follow the company line. It doesn't look as if ITN were being particularly controversial. Of all the questions they could have asked, such as charging full price AND locking the iPhone to an O2 contract, how about comparing the UK and US prices.
The offensive question for Apple was about iTunes, not really BIG news. Mr Apple could have made a non committal answer and so the reporter would have moved on, probably would have hit the cutting room floor. Instead the PR "experts" storm in and so create an even better story for ITN than they could ever have hoped for.
Well done Apple.
