Specs released for £99 laptop

Posted by David Meyer

We finally have specs for the Elonex One laptop (previous story here), which is being pitched at the educational sector.

Apparently the thing runs on a 300MHz LNX (nope, me neither) processor and boasts a whopping 128MB of DDR2 RAM. And a single gig of storage.

The Eee has got us used to the idea of a relatively low spec producing decent results with the right (read: not MS) OS, but this is ridiculous. The good news, however, is that it has a "splash-proof membrane".

And it costs under £100.

That's really minimal, one of the things kids do on their computers is play games or watch DVD's, am not sure that spec can handle multimedia, they should call it the choke PC!
