If you already had one of our stock avatars your profile will retain this until you decide to upgrade to a real picure of you. Go on, you know it's always good to put a face to a name.

I see you didn't get your face in the middle!
Use Paint.NET or GIMP to do the necessary editing and converting to 100 pixels in Windows, or use GIMP in Linux.
Why is my own Avatar, recently installed, not showing for my comment above (or this one)?
I didn't. That's because that picture is actually from a (relatively sober) party and I wanted to cut someone off whose head was next to me. I'm a big fan of GIMP and used that to produce this - maybe I'll hunt round for a better pictuer at home this weekend :-)
That's a good question about why your new avatar is not showing. I'll raise it as a bug right away.
Moley (and everyone else), your avatar should now be appearing correctly on your comments to blog posts. Thanks for raising the bug.
