Networking Voodoo Logic with High Technology
Voodoo logic. An oxymoron used in a headline by the well respected New York Times when reporting about a curse a professional baseball team fan attempted to place on the New York Yankees' organization. According to several different prestigious academic sources, the curse may work, or may not work even though the New York franchise of Major League Baseball discovered the curse and had it removed.
One of the previously mentioned sources made reference to the magical consequences and the deeply symbolic act with several ties to ancient history and mythology which leads to our networking of voodoo logic and high technology.
A web site discussing Voodoo informs it's readers that voodoo is a derivative of the world’s oldest known religions and is estimated to be over 10 000 years old. The word "voodoo" comes from the West African word "vodun," meaning spirit. The serpent figures heavily in the Voodoo faith and the word Voodoo has been translated as "the snake under whose auspices gather all who share the faith".
The symbol of the snake eating it's own tail, the ouroboros surprisingly relates to our modern day as well as future high technology. As the snake survives from the act of feeding itself from it's body, so does the futuristic entity called artificial intelligence.
Other high technology networking with voodoo include
VoodooPC where you can even obtain voodoo technical support. The F-101 Voodoo is an American supersonic military fighter and voodoo programming, a tongue-in-cheek term for using a programming system or language which one does not fully understand. Also, there is the voodoo Graphics PCI hardware for computers and the Godsmack- Voodoo video you can view on YouTube.
So what does all of this voodoo and high technology mean? Well, sometimes genius is beyond the facade of reality for few of us would have thought that the 6700 year old ouroboros black occult symbol could represent the future of high technology.
Finally, is it possible that everything that is to be learned has already been documented in "The Book of Voodoo Communications"? That subject shall be discussed in future columns of the Cyberculture News.
