Unboxing openSUSE 11.0

Posted by David Meyer

Yes! We got our hands on the hottest, most talked-about technological must-have... it is, of course, the boxed version of openSUSE 11.0!

Prepare yourselves for an exclusive unboxfest:

My openSUSE came in a shiny white plastic bag. Personally I felt this looked a bit cheap.

The bubblewrap inside was very good though. The bubbles each measured around 2cm across.

And here it is! The box looks much nicer than the bag. It is also shiny, but black.

There is a label that needs to be peeled off before you can get inside the box. I found this to be very well implemented.

Once inside the black box, there is another box. It is less shiny. But as you can see, the back of the main box comes with illustrations.

Inside all the boxes is a DVD, a manual, and some leaflet or other.

Interestingly, the DVD is green.

The manual is filled with text, which I found quite surprising.

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed the unboxing of openSUSE 11.0. Next week, I shall be unboxing a Kensington lock in minute detail, so stay tuned!

I downloaded my copy, but I must say you probably enjoyed your way better. Even after running the CD I found little to get excited about, and they are still using that ugly green.
