Yuil cooler than Cuil
To make matters worse, in a side-by-side comparison it felt rather faster and produced some rather more apposite pages. It certainly got the pictures better.
Let's hope he doesn't pull the same stunt with ZDNet.
(TOTH to DJ)
[UPDATE - looks like Yuil has been turned off. Shame. Let's hope this isn't another pungent comment on the chances of Cuil's survival]
[UPDATE x 2 - It's back in mufti as 4hoursearch. Break a leg.]

Am beginning to feel sorry for the guys at cuil, they raised the bar by comparing themselves to Google and then launched without inviting some people to beta test the product. Every tech blog that i've read has had a negative review.
Maybe being ex-googlers gave them too much confidence!
haha that is way too funny.
After just spending 30+ minutes attempting to get Cuil to return me a direct link to the homepage of my website, I've decide that it's really not the search engine for me.

I agree harpless the bar was very high, as i would imagine the whole search engine industry has forced it to be raised ever higher in recent years, combine that with the 'ex-google' branding and I should think people were foaming at the mouth for the next generation search engine, shame it didn't delivery that or anything on par with existing products.
Only time will tell if Cuil can break through the negative cloud that surrounds it and delivery something people can use.
Just tried the link, and found that "Yuil is dead", without any explanation. Perhaps the insolent little parody got crushed by the large and well-funded target they were poking at?
