Hi Ator1940.
I saw a news clip about this software also. I think google are collecting at the moment to incorporate this in to google earth, so then you will be able to take a walk down the street.
I know its a pain, but the active x control could be manually enabled, and then disabled again, or even got rid of when you leave the site.
Ran into a brick wall looking for an active-X plug-in for Firefox. Mozilla said there isn't one, and won't be one because of security concerns.
Ah.....that means you would need IE8, which is more secure than ever.
Or how about opera, maybe they would have an active x plug in.
I know what you mean about the security concern, so for me they are on when in use, then I boot them off the system. I just don't like them hanging around!!
