Google Chrome browser market share after Day 1 = 2.77%
My thanks to SEO expert Nikki Pilkington for sharing with me (over Twitter, look her up) some stats Clicky has released of web traffic over the 45,00 unique websites it tracks since Google Chrome was released in beta at 7:00pm BST last night.
You can view the stats here: http://getclicky.com/chrome
They update every 15 mins, so you may see Chrome's marketshare climbing higher still.

I am very impressed with that results if true - but 2.77% of hits from Chrome browsers today doesn't actually equal 2.77% market share.
Chrome users will be punching a long way above their weight, since people who have Chrome are more likely to be online, and will be doing more browsing today than people with other browsers.
It's impressive that it registers already though.
Thank you for your comment Peter. What you say may be true. I loaded up Chrome last night, but I have only been using it as much as I use Opera today. And this afternoon I loaded up IE 8 to take a look at that. Within minutes I was back using Chrome because I couldn't stand the delay in loading pages!
I guess the real test will be a daily snapshot in perhaps as little as a weeks time once the novelty has warn off.

Very Interesting Ian,
That's pretty interesting. I have been noticing more and more Chrome visits but only for web design, or seo related sites. But for the other sites I been monitoring its still in the sub 1% of the total number visitors. I agree it will be interesting to see how many will be showing three weeks from now averaged over a few different sites from varied industries.
