Former HP boss Carly Fiorina grilled over Sarah Palin

Posted by Andrew Donoghue

Just caught former HP chief executive Carly Fiorina on the BBC coming out to back John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin ahead of her first major speech today.

Given Fiorina's turbulent time at HP, some might question her expertise when it comes to discussing success at the top of any profession let alone the job of vice-president.

But then again, others might argue that some of the flack thrown at Fiorina during her time at HP could be down to the same kind of sexism which Fiorina thinks has been headed Palin's way since her appointment was announced.

The BBC has an interesting interview with Fiorina, in which they claim she stands for the rational and scientific side of republicanism - away from the sort of creationist and fundamental christian beliefs that Palin is allied to.

Given that - does she support Palin's appointment?

"I don't think it necessary for me to agree with everyone of her personal views, it's more important for me to understand John McCain's views," Fiorina told the BBC.
