Nasa hacker releases music video

Posted by Tom Espiner

Whether it's part of his campaign to raise awareness for his impending extradition, or whether he just likes making music, Gary McKinnon, the man accused of "the biggest military hack of all time" has released a music video.

Posted on MySpace on Sunday, "Only a Fool", is a Chris Rea-ish type effort in a minor key -- think 'Road to Hell', but slightly less throaty. Bizarre.

The chorus is actually quite poignant:

"Don't stop, don't say it don't matter/If it ain't easy try harder/Only a fool would let it go/Don't stop, don't sit and do nothing/If it ain't easy say something/Only a fool won't let it show/".

It's very hard to resist saying this is autobiographical. "Only a fool" would give up -- well, McKinnon has been under a legal sword of Damocles for six years. He's also very depressed about his impending extradition, according to his family.
