Cyber-terrorism discussed on 5 Live

Posted by Tom Espiner

I took part in quite an interesting discussion on Radio 5 Live on Sunday on cyber-terrorism. Aimed at mainstream listeners, the discussion was on the Donal MacIntyre show at 7pm (link will work for six days).

If you can get past the number of times I say "erm", the main point I was making was that the internet infrastructure of the UK would be extremely difficult to take out completely, due to the number of servers handling traffic for the UK.

Liked your "if the Daily Telegraph gets taken down then that's not terrorism" comment Tom - good job.

Donal's got plenty of 'erms' too.

That was good......liked the way you stuck to your guns there. The other chap Steve didn't seem to have an answer to your comments, that the issue is being blown out of all proportion, I think you kinda pulled the rug from under their feet!
