The trials of a long-term mac user

A storm in a tea cup....

Posted by utzy

So having read a few terrible reviews including a veritable write off by such pundits as David Pogue in the New York times, I popped into a Vodafone shop to see the new Storm. Given that since the release they have now updated the firmware some function may have improved but this Sure Press gimmick really begs the simple question why ?

Within minutes I was pressing the wrong key sliding in and out of programmes. All the hallmarks of a very rushed product and funny as not so long ago RIM were saying there was no need for touch screens.

And that gap between the screen and handset just appears like a magnet for stray paper clips and apple pips that appear at the end of a long week to get embedded in your phone. When you compare it to the zippy and very accomplished Bold I really do not understand why this ever got released at all...

Now with this iPhone challenger quickly out of the way isn't it now the time for the new Palm OS and touchscreen to step in and really take on Apple face to face...
