Battle of the mobile OS platforms - new figures in
So this will be a graph on every mobile tech managers presentation slides - Apple are beating the Microsoft mobile platform in to fourth place globally by smart phone sales. It was not long ago that Steve Ballmer chuckling at the expensive iPhone saying that Microsoft had the mobile software on a whole rafter of handsets- including the out of sync Palm and the better placed HTC sets. Obviously Android is not showing up yet but it shows how this market is just at its beginning with a lot of options being lobbed at the consumer and not all of them sticking and that goes for the software and also the hardware that is offered.
