T-Mobile plans Boxing Day netbook push

Posted by David Meyer

It seems T-Mobile is set to enter the netbook fray, joining the embedded-3G tie-in game already being played by rivals Orange and Vodafone.

I haven't been able to get hold of anyone at T-Mobile this fine Christmas Eve, but the usually-reliable Mobile Today website is reporting that the operator will start selling mobile broadband bundles, including some-or-other Asus Eee PC, on Boxing Day. T-Mob was originally going to go with Acer, but stock problems forced them switch allegiances. I doubt Acer is too worried about that, though.

One of the tariffs quoted by Mobile Today weighs in at £25 per month (24 month contract) for a 3GB monthly allowance.
