EC smartcard cartel raid companies named
The semiconductor companies raided by European Commission anti-competition inspectors in October were STMicroelectronics, NXP, Infineon, and Renesas, according to a Reuters article.
Inspectors were looking for evidence of price-fixing, customer allocation and exchange of commercially sensitive information.
The EC said in a statement that the inspections are "does not mean that the companies are guilty of anti-competitive behaviour".
