Oracle to issue Critical Patch Update on Tuesday

Posted by Tom Espiner

One of Oracle's massive patches is due out on Tuesday.

Oracle releases a Critical Patch Update only every three to six months, so they are typically huge.

The one to be made available tomorrow is no exception, and will contain 41 security fixes across hundreds of products, according to the Oracle Critical Patch Update Pre-Release Announcement - January 2009.

Versions of Oracle Database, Secure Backup, TimesTen In-Memory Database, Application Server, E-Business Suite Release, Enterprise Manager Grid Control, WebLogic Server, WebLogic Portal, and PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS and JD Edwards Tools are all affected.
