Apple's discontinued support list

Posted by utzy

Well I never. Just take a butcher's at this list if your Apple is more than seven years old expect no Apple support for it. A mighty confusing US vs Europe legal line of definition follows

"All retail Apple Stores and the Canadian, European, Latin American and Asia-Pacific operating regions follow the U.S. product list, but make no distinction between vintage and obsolete. When applied to the retail Apple Stores and these operating regions, all products on the U.S. Vintage list are considered obsolete."

Say again. All this changes if you live in California the home state of Apple where law dictates otherwise.

Hmm well I am sure my iphone battery wont see it's first year out so by 2013 that will be binned as obsolete by Apple too -hey ho
