The trials of a long-term mac user

What's your favourite dead software ?

Posted by utzy

So it's out with the old Palm OS and in the new Web OS. Another one bites the dust eh.If I remember right there seems to be a lot of mobile trashed software Newton, Psion had something didn't they ?. Add to that the list of old desktop stuff there is quite a room of stuff building in the obsolete software category. Is there actually a museum for that stuff somewhere ? My favourite; well I was brought up on system 6 for Mac and loved hyper card stacks (anyone know if they are making a comeback ?) there must be hundreds of others - perhaps we could collate them here.

Lotus Organizer with its visual filofax look and feel was a favourite back in the 90's. It was a prime example of how a good GUI could help blend the differences between a paper system and a computer system.

Hi, CA-Clipper was my favorite, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipper_(programming_language)
Also, Win 3.11 with GWBASIC for programmer, line by line, step by step. Saludos from Cuernavaca, Mexico

Clipper. Easy to use and it compiled down to true native code, so it run fast. Can't say that about any M$ products though!
