Packing 2GB in your finger

Posted by Sandra Vogel

News web sites are reporting the story of Finnish software developer Jerry Jalava.

He lost part of a finger in a motorcycle accident and decided to give himself a USB keydrive-toting prosthetic.

It is a very neat idea. He can carry data around without the danger of leaving it on the bus or in a taxi – the fate of many a laptop, mobile phone and portable data storage device. And it must be a heck of a talking point at parties.

See his blog for some more detail, and his Flickr stream for some photos.
