Dell could be preparing Android netbook

The embedded software company Bsquare has announced it is "porting Adobe's Flash Lite 3.17 technology onto Dell Netbooks running Google's Android platform".

As Dell has not announced an Android netbook, Bsquare appears to have taken something of an initiative in making this announcement.

A call to Dell's press office late on Wednesday elicited surprise.

This could be excellent news.

Dell already sells US$249 netbooks wunning Atom/Linux. One hopes that an ARM/Android netbook would retail for under US$200.
