Sprint announces Palm Pre date and pricing
The US mobile operator Sprint has announced the release date and pricing for the Palm Pre, the handset manufacturer's first device to carry its new WebOS operating system.
The Pre will go on sale on 6 June "in Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores and online at Sprint.com for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate", according to Sprint's statement.
ZDNet UK has asked Palm's UK representatives for release dates and pricing for this country, but they did not have the information to hand. It is rumoured that O2 will get UK exclusivity for the Pre.
