Posted by David Meyer

Sir Alan Sugar is to be given a role in government as 'enterprise czar', according to reports.

Alan Sugar’s appointment as ‘Enterprise Tsar’ is welcome news for entrepreneurs and SMEs in these difficult times, in the hope that his new role will ensure the government keeps the small business agenda at the forefront of economic policy. His practical approach and empathy with entrepreneurs will be of great help to businesses like Backup Direct as the UK will increasingly rely on innovative industry to work its way out of recession.
