Sony to ship Google Chrome browsers on Vaios
The story was first carried by the FT, which said that other companies were also in talks about Chrome with Google, and that the browser would also be promoted to Internet users who download the RealPlayer media streaming software. Google has previously said that it is in discussions with Dell about bundling the software.
To date, a day before the first anniversary of its launch on September 2nd 2008, Chrome has around 30 million active users or around three percent of the global market which makes it the fourth most popular browser after Internet Explorer, FireFox and Apple's Safari. Currently, it is only available in finished form for Windows, although early preview versions for OS X and Linux are available and seeing rapid development.

I bet they capitulate soon once a bit of MS money comes their way.
And why is Zdnet Uk page loading so slow compared to most other sites? Are you hosted on an iPhone with no multitasking?
The interesting thing here is that Google is coming round to the idea of marketing - not very well, but I'm sure it'll get better - and I expect it'll come up with something like the Intel Inside campaign, as that best matches the small issue that you can't actually go out and buy a Google. So there may be Microsoft marketing money about, but there'll be just as much from the Google coffers.
As for our pages - we feel your pain. In, as they say, a very real sense, going forward. Being sensible for a second, we know that usability is king and that speed is of the essence, so we are extremely keen to reduce these lapses.
Thanks, when its slow in opera, its really slow. :o)
We need more Dialogue Boxes as compensation.
Does that mean the price of VAIO will increase as a punishment for crossing the mighty Redmond monster? Or will the monster throw chairs around a building? Either way, they aren't going to like the competition, seeing as how IE can't stand up to Opera in almost all areas.
