Skype Apparently Sold - So Much for "Shutdown"

I see a new future media for "telemarketers" (phone solicitors). Now you'll be able to get annoying phone calls from who-knows-where selling you who-knows-what. Yipee.
Time to set the firewall to reject Skype.
Therein lies another of the major problems with Skype - it is VERY aggressive at trying to find a way through firewalls. They don't care if it subverts corporate security policy, Skype will masquerade as various other services if it deems it necessary. Oh, and don't even get me started on a rant about the Skype client deciding entirely on its own to become a "Supernode", soaking up your computer resources and your network bandwidth, without giving the user any notice or choice about it.
Thanks for reading and commenting, as always.
