Linux Foundation offers members @linux.com perk
The Linux Foundation is adding to its list of membership benefits this week by offering individual members the chance to secure a lifetime @linux.com email address.
For a onetime fee of $99, members will receive their own Linux.com email address, a choice of Linux Foundation T-shirt, and discounts on hardware from Dell, HP and Lenovo, as well online.
In the past, members could only hold a @linux.com email address if they kept up with their yearly membership payments. Current members can now secure the email for a one-off fee of $150, but new members will be required to pay $250 for a one-year membership along with the lifetime benefit.
