You mean Ubuntu isn't perfect?!?

Ubuntu error

I'm afraid to break the news to all the Ubuntu linux fanbois+grrls out there that Ubuntu is not perfect. I've had some display errors with Gnome DO and the notification icon. So sorry to let the side down ;)

Jake - You're not alone, by a long shot. It seems that the very large step forward to X.org server 1.6.x and Linux kernel 2.6.31 have produced some significant problems. It really is too bad, considering how much attention this Ubuntu release has gotten.

Seems like the latest version of Gnome DO requires composting... er, compositing turned on, which is a pain as it's an old machine I have it installed on :(
