Will XP SP3 ever arrive?
Last week, we reported that Microsoft has pushed back the launch of the third service pack for XP. This decision appears to have alarmed some in the IT community, who now doubt that XP SP3 will ever ship - according to this article on PC Advisor.
But why would Microsoft decide not to ship an important update to XP users? Well, with Vista apparently failing to thrill the market, it needs all the help it can get. SP3 might just tempt XP users to sit tight.

Sat-Nav leads German to toilet
Here's a comedy tale from Germany, about a guy whose satellite navigation system led him straight into a portable lavatory. According to the guys at The Register, when the device ordered him to "turn right now" he immediately twisted the wheel (rather than waiting for the junction some 30 metres ahead).
He ploughed across a building site, mounted a set of stairs, before crunching into a portaloo.
More Dum-Dum than Tom-Tom, I fear.

News Channel images now work!
After staying in the office until midnight last night (and then having half my work deleted by a bug-fix), I've now got Lead Graphics up in nearly all the News Sections (emerging tech was being a bit slow).
I think they're much better than the current ones, being bigger. We've grabbed some off News.com for the moment, but will get tech to design super ones once we launch.
Alas, Maddy had ruled out any more amusing Linux graphics, with Tux posing outside famous monuments. Maybe the one of him outside the Taj Mahal wearing a turban was a bit too much.
