Removing comments at Experts-Exchange Part 3

Posted by nico5038

The continuing story of "silencing" members at EE...

There's a special request for Access experts at the EE site to join the "cleanup team".

EE has a cleanup team to make sure that all "abandoned" questions with expert comments are closed, preferably by pointing to a comment that (might be) the answer. Thus no valuable questions are left open for eternity.
The result will be that the "expert points" of such a forcedly closed question will be added to the "expert points" of the expert that has posted the "winning" comment.

Proposing an answer for the abandoned questions takes a lot of time and as a reward now each volunteer is getting 2 points per "cleaned" question.

You might expect that the "proven" experts of the top 15 will be doing such a job, but that's not always the fact. There are greedy experts only interested in scoring points and having the benefit of the cleanup effort of the volunteers, but doing no cleanup effort at all.

As I have cleaned thousands of questions, I know the effort necessary and I know the "greedy" experts. So when the email to the above mentioned question arrived, I posted a comment "No thanks" and pointed to the doubtful benefit and the fact of the "greedy" experts.

Well, from my previous posts and this blog title you could already guess the treatment that comment got.
Within half an hour the comment was removed and a "Member comment" (on my profile and only readable for me) was posted:

Nico,

Re: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Microsoft/Development/MS_Access/Q_23512702.html.

First, no one cares about your statistics. They became moot when you decided to drag the nico5038/modulo/GranMod names through the mud.

Second, do not interfere with any cleanup efforts, period. That includes another post in that thread for any reason. Consequences will otherwise follow.

Great example of censure ship by this moderator and certainly showing no respect for "different" opinions.
Especially the "Consequences will otherwise follow." statement made me tremble :-)
What kind of moderators rule his site? Looks like they still believe in the illusion of the "American dream" that everything has to be "perfect". That same "perfect dream" gave use the "perfect" Microsoft software.
Obviously the moderators don't respect the freedom of speech and are trying to keep their cleanup volunteers dumb...
So these cleanup volunteers aren't aware of the fact that the site is generating lots of $$'s and instead of helping questioners these volunteers are doing a job for free that would keep at least 3 payed EE employees busy on a daily basis... Hmm, guess there's no unemployment in the US

Sad to have to write a blog to share this information with the cleanup volunteers as I'm not allowed to comment in the above mentioned question.
