Professional Biography
John Stanners has over 30 years experience in Information Technology and Telecomms. For the last 12 years he has specialized in messaging technologies with particular reference to core messaging and groupware products while maintaining a strong interest in spam and virus protection both integrated and at the network edge.
John is currently the Managing Director of Gordano Ltd, a company specialising in the development of messaging software. Prior to this he was a consultant to a number of software development companies advising on HCI and development specifications. He was also a founding partner of an early stage Internet company and served on the board of the Scottish Internet Business Association.
Previously John worked in a number of blue chip firms such as Ferranti where he was responsible for testing and certification of gyro-guidance systems and British Telecom where he supervised a number of large installation and commissioning projects.
