Professional Biography
I've been an IT Professional for over 14 years. I started out as a software engineer and then moved into management over six years ago. I've worked for Fortune 500 companies, the U.S. government, as a consultant, and as an independent contractor.
I programmed in C and C++ until late 1998. After that, I started using Java to write standalone and web applications. I've developed applications to run on various flavors of UNIX and Windows. I've written several stored procedures and scripts for MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and DB2.
I've developed at every tier--front-end, back-end, and database--of an application and through all phases of software development. I've managed small, medium, and large development efforts.
I stay in IT, because I love to learn, and I am challenged daily to learn something new.
