Professional Biography
I was born in Jasper Alabama within Walker County in the United States of America in 1952. I've never seen any aliens nor UFO's yet I believe theres another dimension. I have graduated from High School and attended some college and Technical Schools. I have been computing for more than six years, once an AOL member, still am a CompuServe member, and have been a MSN member, but I still have my original Hotmail address. I enjoy working outdoors, I do pressure washing, general yard tasks like mowing and hedging, I also do landscaping when active and paint buildings. I do minor repairs on vehicles so I know lots of general things and these keep me busy. I hardly have time to chaufer about but I drive a variety of vehicles, a Ford Explorer SUV, 2 pickup trucks F-150 & a Toyota, a Grand AM, and my favorite the Honda Civic CRX 1991 vehicle. I have a Ford Tempo GL for sale you can see on my ProStore [ http://store.prostores.com/thejonalisthome/index.html ] and a Infiniti J30 for sale as well as a Diamonte Mitshibishi awaiting repairs. My computing skills are not professional, I do not work with nor have I worked with a team. I am not employed but I do have wireless networking. My goal is to get a Windows Home Server and work out a deal with Charter thus saving me from any subscription use of a online server for my needs. For that reason I need storage and I need my old HP replaced which had a short circuit and the capicators almost exploded but it shutdown before that happened so everything is AOK with its components and can be recycled to another system. Anyways I have had my share of bad luck and have recovered from it.
OK so now this brings me to the present day. I bought a Dell Inspiron 531 and 2 more GB for it and am happy that this 22" LCD display auto detects on bootup so theres no interference from my Back-Ups power source next to it. I still have my HP Pavilion Windows 98SE computer.
I joined the UK ZDNet site because I felt I would obtain more information than I do on the US site because I find a lot of off topics in the Community Forum on the US site. I don't really like having to run through 10 pages of Forum Replies that don't mean much to a posting. I thought someone might like to share their knowledge with me and I do the same so I'm here also.
