Professional Biography
Went from Trainee Systems Programmer to Programmer and Senior Programmer in an educational institute before being head-hunted for a communications/networking business.
Background in radio communication before computing, which has continued as a strong interest/hobby, and was useful when helping set up a radio station in Cheshire (though some of my involvement was to do with networking and QA before and after the station went on air).
Worked on databases and programming, and later moved into websites with sizeable amounts of data - 40,000+ page websites (before MySQL became really widely used/ popular).
